I'm a freelance book editor and have used these Pilot Hi-Tecpoint V5 and V7 pens for many years for detailed markup and proof corrections. They are very reliable, the metal tip never wears, frays or smudges, the ink flow is tightly controlled, and the line is of consistent thickness and always looks great. They come in various colours and two thicknesses.
They are quite expensive at £2 to £3 each, depending on quantity. Confusingly, the V5 gives a line 0.3 mm wide, and the V7 a line of 0.5 mm (for an even finer line, try the Pilot G-TEC-C4 range, e.g. the 0.4). Also, the V7 pens don't last long with heavy usage, as the line is quite thick.
